Hungary calling for mindfulness

In June I’m invited to speak in a city I have always wanted to visit and heard nothing but positive things about: Budapest.

If you had told me one year ago, I would eventually go there on a mindfulness mission. I probably wouldn’t have believed you. – Funny how life goes down sometimes! Isn’t it?

How about you…have you also always been interested in visiting the popular capital of Hungary? Well, NOW is a good time! Because on top of predicted sunny weather in the mid twenties, there is a great conference going on: The ehealth360 Summit.

“The European Alliance for Innovation (EAI) is organizing an international summit focused on eHealth (eHealth360°) which will be held from June 14 to June 16 2016 in Budapest, Hungary. eHealth 360° Summit 2016 is a unique event bringing a 360 degree perspective on mobile and electronic health”.

The Summit further mentions in their press release that it will gather experiences and innovative ideas from projects and activities in the topics of mobile and health.

LG_ehealth360I am happy to say that The Dignified Self will be a part of that!

The topics presented and discussed, so it says, aim to coach involved people on the whole path between research to innovation and all the way through to commercialization of ideas, projects and technologies. For further info please see the program or download the eHealth360 press release.

Come by and join our mHealth panel

I’m honored to be part of a panel on “EHealth & MHealth and successful implementation”  on June 15th at 3:30pm on the first day of the conference. We will discuss the following topics:

  • Effective training of doctors and nurses
  • How to create a digital savvy workforce?
  • New technologies and employee engagement

Did you know that 70% of employees are disengaged, which is leading to lower productivity, innovation, and wellbeing (Gallup, 2013/SIYLI)!?

Well, there is a way to change that! I personally believe that mindfulness can highly increase employee engagement, which I will explain further on June 15th. I further think mindfulness should be part of the training of any workforce that wants to be savvy and ready to rock the digital world – especially with the amount of information and distraction growing every day!

I am really looking forward to discuss and build on that with my respected colleagues on the panel and also learn about their point of views. Here is our very diverse panel set-up:

Kostas Giokas from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece,
Zsofia Meszner, Director of Child Health Directorate at the National Institute of Health Promotion in Budapest,
Sandor Bekasi, mHealth expert,
Lukas Roubik, Technical Manager, Czech National eHealth Center, University Hospital,
Lilian Güntsche, CEO & Founder of THE DIGNIFIED SELF, Digital Strategist, Author
